Eli Innovation Pty Ltd produces the only Milk Meter and Cup Remover entirely made in Australia and is located in West Gippsland in the town of Warragul, Victoria. The Gippsland region is one of the most proficient in Australia in terms of milk production.         

The "Eli" Milk Meter has been named after "Ellinbank", a country town hosting the well known Ellinbank Research Institute,  a scientific research institute focusing on the dairy industry, subsidised by the Victorian Department of Primary Industries. The Eli Milk Meter prototype was originally invented and designed in the late 1990s by the Ellinbank Research Institute under the authority of Dr Tim Clark and his team.

The commercialisation of the Eli Milk Meter in its current version was awarded  in 2001 to Radiometer Pacific a company based in Melbourne and Modra Technology based in Warragul, both companies founded "Eli Innovation Pty Ltd" to manufacture the Milk Meter and other related dairy components. Radiometer, further to its decision to concentrate on their medical core business, sold its shareholdings of Eli Innovation and the Eli Milk Meter commercialisation rights to Modra Technology in 2003 which finally sold them in June 2004 to Mr Greg Cole from Warragul, also owner of "Cutting Edge Electrical and Instrumentation", a well know electrical contracting business also based in Warragul. Cutting Edge was involved from the very start in the Eli project, performing most of the systems installation.

Eli Innovation has now been relocated and is sharing premises with Cutting Edge Electrical at 6 Normanby Street, Warragul.
